Shiela's Surprise

She had her skirt on the other way around and I decided to not tell her for the rest of the day

September 2015 - October 2015

So it was probably mid afternoon when I was home alone with Steph, doing the dishes, singing my lungs out, off-key in my hoodie and sweats when I sensed a stranger's presence in the house. I was a bit freaked, coz I noticed my phone flying across the living room to land with a quiet thud onto the couch from its position that was out of my sight. A quick look to my left told me that Steph was indeed, not the source of the quick toss.

Amelia & Dansan

Erm, stop being cute?

August 2015

I honestly can't remember what went down in August, besides the fact that Amelia (the big sis) and Dansan (the big sis' boyfriend) flew over from Sydney for a short visit.

Right, so much for promises to myself. hah.

I don't know, I just thought it was pretty

So a few months ago I made a promise to myself to keep this blog up to date. No surprise there, I failed. Good going Mel.
But hey, major catch up time! Let's just pretend no months were missed and all of my following posts are done on time.

Quit lying to yourself Mel. Why you always lyin'.

Where fairies belong

Oh hey Steph

If you live in Perth, you'll probably have constant tendencies to hunt for places to go to, secret gems to discover. After much Googling (yeah, so much physical hardship there), we finally found a not-so-secret, secret garden located in Gwelup, Western Australia.

What are you most afraid of upon entering uni?

Geology building, UWA

Orientation week of uni is usually the week where all first-years swarm like a bait ball of fish, (with uni being the potential predator of course) not knowing where to go or what to do but driven by instinct to huddle and get by. Okay, that was a pretty over-exaggerated analogy but tone it down a few notches and you'll get the picture.

One of the things we had done was sit in a circle with several other first-years and a student mentor to discuss a few things about what we're majoring in, what we want to learn from uni, what we expect from uni, yada yada yada.

But there was this one question that stuck to me the whole semester, and will quite possibly stick with me for my entire uni life, and that was:

"What are you most afraid of upon entering uni?"
